Here it is: a Comodo setup for you that works well and protects well.
I called it ComodoFix because it fixes a lot of the most common issues and headaches.
Feel free to comment...

1 Install and configure the antivirus program of your choice. This could be Windows Defender, Kaspersky Free Antivirus, or another AV of your choice. Avoid AVs that have firewall and HIPS components.

Hello,
I have Comodo firewall installed(custom ruleset / aka ask mode). But sometimes i'll get Windows own firewall pop-up "do you want to allow....etc". Comodo uses its own fw filter driver, so does anyone know why i'm occasionally get windows own firewall pop-up window?

A few months have passed since I uninstalled comodo. I used the official uninstall software, but their specters are still present in the event viewer.

Please let me know if there is a solution. I disabled the event log and manually deleted the files, but they come back many times.

I have an issue with CF, where it shows an alert every time I copy or delete certain files from the Firefox profile directory (prefs.js and search.json.mozlz4 and possibly another) due to the Advanced Protection > Miscellaneous > Show alerts in case any other software attempts to modify current settings of installed browsers setting. And what's really strange is that it only seems to happen when the files are in the proper path (Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\profile.default\)...

This is a concern because the rate is quite noticeable although comodo firewall feels extremely light
I used process explorer, process hacker to monitor the i/o rate and they both have the same values

I use CS's configuration with some personal tweaks

Hello everyone,
so after giving away my Kaspersky, ESET, Bitdefender licenses to secure multiple devices of some relatives, nothing was left for me XD. (well except for a license for Thor premium which I don't wanna use)
Anyway, now with the resurgence of Cruelsister -thank you COVID-19?? - I instantly remembered CruelComodo, so I decided to maybe give it a spin, after all I used it before for a long period of time and had no major issues.

This time, however, I tend to use my laptop more...

I disabled HIPS on my CF setup. My only real-time protection is CFs file lookup server and VirusScope. What would happen if a legit program tries to load infected DLL? Does CF protect against it?

Hey. I was using CF with cruel settings but wanted to make another config, that's not as secure as cruel comodo but i think it has less hassle and is more suitable for inexperienced users. CF works only as a companion app at those settings so I would recommend that one use an AV along with it.

I never used Valkyrie before by myself, so I don't know how powerful it was. My only experience with it was a few weeks ago. When i had uploaded an executable, it had gave me an error after the analysis complete. I guess it's still buggy?

I know that COMODO Firewall (CF)'s default settings are useless and that CurelSister's settings are rock solid. However, I recently came upon another CF configuration video and the settings the user set seems pretty solid as well:

Hi ,

I always found Comodo's firewall little bit confusing to configure. Just wanted to know how can I set it up so that whenever a new program tries to connect to internet it will ask me whether to block the connection or allow the connection ?

The question is mainly for firewall but I suppose that if it's possible, the procedure is similar for other modules.
If I have an executable that wants to connect to the internet, currently I keep blocking it in order to see a pattern of connecting times.
